De legendarische producer Mad Professor, voortrekker van de tweede dubgeneratie, inviteert MC’s KarMelody en Brother Culture voor een drie uur durende dubshow. Afterparty met Dub Front Association.
Mad Professor - né Neil Fraser - was dé voortrekker van de tweede generatie dubproducers. Vanuit zijn home studio Ariwa Sounds in Londen loodste hij het genre het nieuwe digitale tijdperk binnen. Zijn nickname kreeg hij al op zeer jonge leeftijd mee vanwege zijn obsessie voor elektronische speeltjes.
Mad Professor zette zichzelf in de jaren ’80 op de kaart met de serie ‘Dub Me Crazy’-albums. Hij werkte samen met die andere dubmeesters Lee “Scratch” Perry en Adrian Sherwood en toaster U-Roy. Daarnaast is de man ook een veelgevraagd remixer. Zo ging hij aan de slag met tracks van The Beastie Boys en Depeche Mode. Zijn bekendste project is de remixplaat ‘No Protection’, een volledige herwerking van het tweede album ‘Protection’ van Massive Attack uit 1995.
Tijdens de Drums of Reparation Dub tour trekt Mad Professor de hort op met MC’s KarMelody en Brother Culture. Ze zorgen voor een drie uur durende dubset.
